We are fortunate to have so many beautiful parks to explore in Calgary.
One of our favourites is Griffith Woods Park. It’s a lovely wooded area that straddles the banks of the Elbow River in the south west of Calgary. It’s the perfect spot for a quick run, leisurely stroll, bike ride or picnic, and we love heading here any time of the day to enjoy the fresh air and greenery.
It’s so peaceful and always a wonderful atmosphere with families wandering the paths, little kids zooting on their bikes, and dogs splashing in the water.
Getting out into the woods is so good for the mind, body and soul, and we feel such a sense of peace after spending some time there. It’s been so amazing to see how the woods is transforming from a winter wonderland to a multi-coloured spring paradise.

I don’t think we will ever grow tired of Calgary’s beautiful scenery.
We are really enjoying all this city has to offer and can’t wait for summer to settle in properly. Read more about fun things to do with kids in Calgary.
